Meharban is a fully qualified audiologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists (RCCP)/Academy for Healthcare Science (AHCS), the British Society of Audiology (BSA), and the British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists (BSHAA). 

 

He trained at St James’s Hospital and qualified as an Audiologist in 1989. Early in his career, he was actively involved in the diagnosis and rehabilitation of patients with hearing and balance disorders, as well as contributing to the modernisation of NHS Hearing Aid Services. Over time, he developed a particular interest in tinnitus counselling and management. 

 

In 2003, Meharban joined the audiology team at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, where he played a key role in assessing adults with learning disabilities. 

 

He works closely with ENT consultants at the Yorkshire Clinic, Bradford, and the Nuffield Hospital, Leeds. 

 

Now in private practice, Meharban specialises in advanced hearing solutions, including premium digital hearing aids with Bluetooth connectivity and completely-in-the-canal devices. He has extensive experience working with “difficult-to-fit” patients and offers specialist services in tinnitus assessment and retraining therapy. 

 

In addition, he provides customised hearing protection for a range of needs, including musicians, shooting, motorcycling, industrial use, swimming, and sleep. 

 

Over the course of his career, Meharban has also developed significant expertise in medico-legal assessments, report writing, and the provision of hearing aids.
